Winter Cake

It was rainy and cold, but Holly and I decided to get out of the house and go caking for awhile. She was overjoyed! Chloe and Tom have had more than enough caking, so Holly and I decided that if we're going to try to get the rest of the cakes, we'd better go by ourselves. We had a lot of fun! We had a nice lunch at Bread Co., and then found a whole bunch of cakes on our list!

After seeing the Opera Theater cake, we headed to Concordia Seminary. The rain was really light...sometimes it quit completely. All of the cakes that we saw today were wet!

Holly was getting rained on, but she didn't want to take her umbrella when we jumped out for this picture:

It was raining a little more, and Holly still didn't want her umbrella. This picture was taken at the Lodge at Des Peres. I'd like to stay here! It looks really nice!

The AKC Museum of the Dog...there are mostly paintings in here, and it's really pricey. So for today we skipped it. Holly would have loved to go in. I told her we'd do it another day. She needs to be a little older to appreciate it.

We liked the Christmas tree at Manchester City Hall!

Barretts Elementary was next on the list.

Last on the list for today was the Museum of Transportation. Holly will get to have a field trip here in the spring, and she'll tour it then...it'll be warmer!

If we're going to find the rest of the cakes, we have to hurry! There is an auction going on now, with many of the cakes up for bid. Those cakes will all be gone by the first of the year. Other cakes are being moved for a New Year's Eve celebration. We're at 235 now...we'll see how many we can get before the new year!
